I graduated from UW-Green Bay in the Fall of 2003 with a B.A. in Elementary Education, minoring in Broad field Social Science. After student teaching, I substitute taught in the Hortonville School District and then taught at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception from 2011-2015. Throughout this time, my husband and I had five wonderful children and I was lucky to spend time with them at home as well. I am able to say now, that raising my children has prepared me for teaching as much as, if not more than, my education has.
Even while home with my children, I felt compelled to keep myself at the forefront of my teaching profession. I enrolled at Marian University in September of 2008 and spent two years learning about the future of education. I graduated in the fall of 2010 from Marian with a Masters in Educational Technologies. My Masters Degree has not only lifted the veil on what our education system could be like, but it also allowed me to realize that I can never stop learning, for our education and society are always changing. I am fully aware that my Masters degree is “dated” and it is up to me to continue learning about the ‘latest and greatest’ technologies for our students.
When I am not spending time with my family at home or up north at our cabin, I have two passions in life that keep me busy; sports and music. I enjoy playing softball, volleyball, and basketball with family and friends. I also enjoy singing with my brothers and sisters at local events.
